Individual, Couple and Family Counselling - Adult and Youth 15+
Individual counseling is a form of therapy that provides a safe and confidential space for individuals to address personal concerns and challenges. As a facilitator and trained counsellor, I help individuals work through a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, and trauma. l work with the individual to understand their unique perspective and concerns, and will use evidence-based techniques and interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and other modalities to provide a tailored approach to each individual's needs. The goal is to help individuals develop the skills and understanding necessary to navigate life's challenges and to improve their overall well-being and mental health.
Parenting Groups
Parenting groups are a form of therapy that provide support, guidance, and resources for parents facing various challenges in their role as parents. As a clinical counselor, I offer parenting groups to provide a safe and supportive space for parents to share their experiences, struggles, and successes. Topics include child development, effective communication, discipline, and stress management. The groups allow parents to gain a deeper understanding of their parenting styles and beliefs, as well as learn new strategies and skills. They also offer a sense of community and shared understanding for parents, whether they are raising young children or navigating the challenges of parenting teens. These groups can also be beneficial for parents dealing with the aftermath of a crisis or trauma.
