About Me

Cheryl Nowshadi /She-her/ - MACP, RCC
I am a registered clinical counsellor with over 15 years of experience.
I offer in-person, online, and phone counselling sessions to ensure that my clients have access to therapy in a way that feels good for them.
I have lived and worked in the Cowichan Valley for over 30 years.
My Approach
I work from a client centered and trauma informed practice, with a feminist perspective and use many different modalities in my practice (such as strength-based, family systems, solution focused, cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy).
I have worked with all identities of adults and youths who are coping with many different challenges and traumas, such as, anxiety, depression, couple and family problems, sexualized violence and other kinds of struggles.
Alongside my private practice, I have also worked with a local non-profit anti-violence agency as a child & youth counsellor for almost 15 years. I have many years of experience facilitating groups (youth and adult) covering topics such as healthy relationships, family of origin issues, healing, self care and many others.
